Mistletoe State Park sits on a peninsula overlooking the 71,000 acre Lake Strom Thurmond. This magnificent park is highlighted by great camping, wonderful hiking trails, beautiful cottages, and very nice swim beaches. From the park ground, you will find amazing views of both sunset and sunrise over the lake.

There are 11 cottages available for rent year-round. The cottages are two-bedroom units. Five of the cottages are log cabins that feature large sleeping lofts. Dogs are allowed in select cottages with advanced notice. Renting a cottage or log cabin can be a great way to experience Mistletoe State Park and Lake Strom Thurmond.
There is also a fisherman’s cabin available for rent within the park.
Picnicking
There are three picnic areas located within the park. Within those areas you will find five picnic shelters, an enclosed group shelter, and an enclosed beach house. The group shelter and beach house are available by reservation only.
Camping
You can enjoy 93 campsites with water and electric hookups inside Mistletoe State park. There are three comfort stations with hot showers and flush toilets inside the park. For more remote camping, there are four campsites with picnic tables, lantern hooks, and fire pits only. If you prefer to hike and camp, there are three campsites located along the Rock Dam Hiking Trail.

Fishing
Fishing is extremely popular on Lake Strom Thurmond. You can catch large-mouth bass, bream, crappie, catfish, striped bass and hybrid bass. There are three boat ramps within Mistletoe State Park. You will also find a fish cleaning station within the park. For persons 16 years and older, a valid South Carolina or Georgia or out-of-state fishing license is required to fish on the lake.
Canoe Rentals
Canoe rentals are available seasonally through the park office by overnight guests only.

There is wi-fi available within the state park which is great for those that do not want to disconnect fully from their day-to-day life.
